I have been obsessing lately about red and leather. I usually do not like red leather because every time I have seen this combination, it just did not look good. But it all changed when I saw this gorgeous red pleated midi skirt from Gucci. One look and that was it. I irreversibly fell in love. But although it is a gorgeous skirt, most women would find difficult fitting it in their outfits. This is why I decided to give you a hand and suggest you a few outfit ideas that will teach you how to wear a leather skirt.
If you are going for a casual look, with a subtle feminine, but playful touch, you can simply add warm neutral colors to it and voila! The look on the left can be worn for an evening out with your friends when you just want to look effortlessly chic. Also, I really see this outfit as the perfect choice for a wine tasting event. The second one is a combination for a lunch date with your best friends on a Saturday. It is that kind of cool, but comfortable mix that should make you feel good in your skin and clothes.
Going out for a date tonight? Put a classy top on, some nice edgy earrings, a lovely small bag and black stilettos and you are all set to go! With this black and red outfit nothing will stay in your way and you can conquer any empire you want. And if you are still into conquering the day after your date, head to work wearing the bold outfit on the right. The color block t-shirt will balance the red skirt and will fit perfectly with the belt and the watch with silver insertions. The fringes of the low boots and the hat are the key elements of the entire picture, changing it from what could be a normal day-to-day outfit to a not-your-kind-of-work-look, but with a personal touch.
You know those days when you have to leave home early in the morning, go to work, go to a lunch meeting, back to work, run errands and then meet your family for dinner? Those never ending days when you just want to feel comfortable, but you also need to keep a certain work etiquette? Well…that was the kind of day I had in mind when I put together the look on the left. The loafers are meant to keep your feet relaxed while you are running around, you have a big bag to put in it everything you need to survive throughout the whole day and you also have Chanel with you to make it better. What is there not to like?
The outfit on the right however is a complete different story. That t-shirt screams ‘wild’ party and you can use it as a pick-up line any time. Oh, and leather on leather is so fierce and unstoppable, but sexy at the same time. The biggest perk of this outfit? You will be the party’s unconventional queen in red leather.
