While creating the outfit sets on Polyvore for the autumn outfits series, I realized I have a new color obsession. Very unexpected for me, but this season I love yellow! You might think I’m crazy but I’m damn serious when I’m telling you that I have many outfit ideas with yellow clothing articles.
I know, in theory, yellow is a summer color, but who says we cannot break the rules from time to time? I like warm colors, I actually like warm colors during rainy days more than I like them during sunny days. Why is that? Because warm colors give you positive feelings and they make you look and feel happier.
Keep following my Autumn Series Outfits posts in the body shape category of the blog and don’t forget to take a look at the Autumn Colors Madness article too for more fashion tips and before reading this article don’t forget to check which color shades suit you best!
Now let’s talk about how to wear yellow during the cold season! Keep in mind that there are various shades of the same color. I’m pretty sure that you will find the perfect yellow shade for you!
Coats, Jackets, Outwear
Never thought about buying a crazy colorful coat? You should! Colorful coats are in this season and, since this article is about my newly discovered yellow obsession, you can invest in a coat that will make those rainy days look better!
Happy prints = happy autumn. At least in my book, but you have to admit that these crazy colorful prints make you feel better! C’mon, admit, promise I won’t tell anybody!
Pants, Skirts & Dresses
Ok, I’ll have to admit that for this section you need sunny autumn days otherwise your lovely pants, skirts or dresses will look terrible!
If coats, dresses or large prints are too much for you, please don’t say NO to yellow! Try to add some yellow accents to your autumn outfits. Scarves, (rain) boots, hats, belts and other accessories are great to add those yellow accents to your outfits!
