Women who have the pear (triangle) body shape have small shoulders and large hips and/ or bottom. If you are one of them you need to get as creative as possible with your tops. Summer is a great season for creativity and crazy colors! Don’t be afraid to wear ruffled tops, boat necklines, bold prints and other statement tops.
For the bottom part of your body go to the other extreme and keep things as simple as possible. Simple flair jeans in dark colors, simple A-line skirts, monochrome skirts, flare dresses and so on.
A-line dresses are amazing for everyone and pears don’t make an exception. Try to find A-line dresses with simple bottom halves. Light colors for the top part and darker colors for the skirt part is also a good idea. Some dresses that fall under the no-waist trend can be good for pears if they have ruffles or boat necklines. Some full dresses can be good if they are not extra voluminous.
Simplicity is chic! This is what pears need to know while searching for skirts that will look good on their bodies. Whether you respect the rules and wear A-line and flare skirts or you ignore them because you want to make style statements with pencil skirts, the simpler the design, the better the outfit! Avoid pleats, ruffles and voluminous skirts made from rigid materials! These won’t do you any good.
As long as you respect the rules presented in the skirts section, you are free to try as many styles as you want. Keep the shoes and the pants in the same color. This simple trick will elongate your silhouette creating the illusion of thinner legs. And for shorts? Same rules!
You already have some great tops suggestions in the skirts and pants sections, but I fell in love with so many that I decided to incorporate some more here. They are easy to combine with those simple pants and skirts that we talked about.
